The name for Make.Do.Camp. came from feeling helpless with institutions failing us and our creativity getting squashed.

Today, that feeling has only grown. Paralysis from fear is real and it only serves to let the chaos continue.

What we know is that being in nature is healing. Being in community is healing.

And that’s what we seek to create with Make.Do.Camp.

Make something. Use your creativity. Identify that quieted part of yourself that instinctively wants to create.

Do something. Freezing is not the answer. Moving your body, getting into action creates change.

Camp is humble shelter that serves your needs, but limits luxuries and distractions. It is common ground where everyone is equal.

The Make.Do.Camp. logo is meant as an ode to the TV show M*A*S*H that focused on hope, humour and compassion in the face of war.
