Make.Do.Camp. will be held September 24-27 2026 at Big Cove YMCA Camp in Pictou County, Nova Scotia, Canada. Register now.
The cost of registration includes transportation to and from Halifax, food/drink, shared cabin accommodation for three nights and four days access to all recreation facilities and workshops.
All participants receive the same experience, lodging, food, and access, regardless of pricing tier. Pricing exists to support the sustainability and accessibility of the camp.
Standard Registration — $1,000 (taxes included)
Standard registration reflects the true cost of creating and holding Make.Do.Camp — including food, lodging, facilitation, logistics, and the many invisible forms of labor that make depth and safety possible.
This price allows the camp to exist without relying on unpaid work, last-minute funding, or burnout behind the scenes. It means the container can be held with care and integrity.
Sustainer Registration — $1,250 (taxes included)
Some participants choose to register as Sustainers as a way of helping Make.Do.Camp remain accessible to people who couldn’t otherwise attend.
Sustainer registrations directly support a limited number of reduced-rate spots and help ensure the long-term sustainability of the camp. There is no additional access, visibility, or responsibility attached — this option is entirely voluntary.
Supported Registration
A limited number of Supported registrations will become available for participants for whom the standard price would be a genuine barrier. We’ll announce these spots as they become available.
Supported registration offers the same experience, care, and access as every other participant. These spots are made possible through Sustainer registrations and, in some cases, individual sponsors.
Payment Method
Payments are collected via Interac e-transfer and processed manually to reduce the cost of fees.
A receipt including the HST portion will be issued for all payments.
Your place is confirmed once payment is received.
The amount listed is the total amount due — there are no additional fees or taxes added. Payments will be received by e-transfer (details available on the registration form.)
Need to split the payment?
If paying the full amount upfront isn’t possible, a deposit option is available.
50% deposit amounts (tax included):
- Standard: $500
- Sustainer: $625
The remaining balance (tax included) is due by July 25 2026.
Please note: choosing the deposit option requires additional follow-up to complete registration.
Cancellation & Refund Policy
Make.Do.Camp requires a minimum level of participation to proceed. If the camp does not move forward, all payments will be returned in full.
Because this is a small, advance-funded gathering, payments are non-refundable after July 1, 2026, except in the case that the camp itself is cancelled.
Prior to July 1, 2026 cancellations will receive a refund less a $100 administrative fee.
Registrations may be transferred to another person with prior approval.
